Rooms

At Tototei, we offer three types of rooms with different atmospheres. In the days of the Chinese restaurant Tototei, the main room (Omoya) served as a venue for banquets, the detached room (Hanare) served as a separate building, and the warehouse (Kura) served as a location for the storage of household goods and props. We look forward to welcoming you in a space with a distinctive personality and more than 100 years of history.

  • 主屋 OMOYA

    The main room is the largest of the three types of rooms. It was used as a banquet room in the former restaurant, and you can feel the atmosphere from that era in the Japanese-style tatami room with an alcove and a veranda. While retaining the elegance of a ryotei (traditional high-end restaurant), the space allows you to spend a luxurious and relaxing time in a spacious and calming setting. The view of the courtyard from your room will calm your senses and help you unwind.

    This maisonette-style room has a relaxing living area on the first floor and a bedroom set up on the second floor, with a vaulted ceiling creating a sense of openness. From the beams and fittings to the glass windows, one can fully appreciate the design of ancient craftsmen and the beauty of Japanese architecture. Please enjoy this welcoming space where the contemporary decor blends in with the quaint structure.

    This unique and playful room was renovated from a space used as a warehouse. The bricks of the warehouse have been preserved in the interior, and you may take in its distinctive ambiance, which has a hideaway-like quality. It has been comfortably renovated while preserving the charm of the time. Unwind in a hinoki (cypress) bath surrounded by the fragrance of nature. Forget the commotion of the city and relax.
