Restaurant HAJIME

Introducing Restaurant Hajime, a new style of restaurant that takes over from Chinese Restaurant Tototei, which has been beloved by many customers. Hajime serves up authentic Italian cuisine using local ingredients from Nagasaki, a city encircled by mountains and the sea. With a commitment to local production for local consumption, Hajime uses Nagasaki wagyu beef, local fish caught at Nagasaki fishing ports, and organic vegetables cultivated by local farmers, and incorporates them into Italian cuisine to evoke a family-like, nostalgic atmosphere.

We invite you to relax and enjoy delicious food and wine in a space shared by designs both old and new, where modern furniture mingles with good-old Japanese-style architecture in a large hall overlooking a garden. Lunch and dinner are also available for customers who are not staying with us overnight. At Hajime, we highly value the credo of “hospitality that remains in people’s hearts” that has been handed down from the days of the ryotei restaurants, and will work with all our heart to earn our customer’s love for the next 100 years by providing a special time for all.
